How is BabyBjörn Baby Crib safe for my baby?
We teamed up with safety experts to design a sturdy crib with soft mesh sides for great air flow and no hard bars for your baby to bump into. The specially tailored mattress is integrated into the crib sides, eliminating any risk of your baby getting caught between the slats, or slats and mattress. Plus, all materials that come into contact with your baby’s skin meet the OEKO-TEX Standard 100, Ö 07-091, RISE, Class 1 for baby products, meaning they’re super-gentle and safe to taste.
When can I start using the baby crib for my baby?
Right from day one. You can use the crib for your baby as a newborn and all the way up to the age of 2 years. The mattress is adjustable, with two different heights, so it’s perfect for both a tiny newborn and a slightly older baby.
Do I need to purchase a mattress separately?
No, the crib comes with both an integrated inner mattress and a custom crib mattress topper designed specifically for the BabyBjörn Baby Crib. You do not need to purchase a crib mattress separately.
Are there sheets that fit the crib?
Yes, we have fitted sheets made from soft organic cotton that are specially tailored to fit the crib. If you’d like to buy a crib sheet, you can check out our crib sheets here.
How do I wash the crib textiles?
The fabric sides are super-easy to remove, and you can just throw them in the washing machine on cold (40°C). The mattress topper cover is machine washable on cold (40°C), too.

Washing instructions
The crib fabric is easy to remove and is machine washable on cold (40°C). Please use a mild, eco-certified detergent and follow the dosage instructions carefully. Let the crib fabric air dry. Avoid tumble drying, as this may affect the fabric quality.
The mattress topper cover is also machine washable on cold (40°C) and can be tumble dried.
The crib sheet is machine washable on warm (60°C). Let the sheet air dry. Avoid tumble drying, as this may affect the fabric quality.
